Help us get a vehicle!

Among many of the goals RADAR has is the dream to have a rescue vehicle. There is little to no transport for animals out in the Riverina district and a lot of animals miss out on getting to foster care or new homes because of this. RADAR members are working towards purchasing a reliable comercial van that is economical to run and able to be hygenically set up to carry animals from pounds to foster carers which are all spread over the area with the aid of voluntary drivers. We will need sponsorship and money to organize this. You can contact us to offer help and or find out more information on this. The sooner we can get this up and running the sooner we can help the animals and their carers.

Fundraising

Our vibrant fundraising committee will always accept ideas and much needed help! They will hold events through the year that you can participate in and have heaps of fun along the way!

Why not join in!!

Foster Caring

We are always seeking out great foster carers. This is a voluntary thing that people do to help an animal on its way from "Rags to Riches" You care for the animal from when you first see it in need until it goes off to its new home, with ongoing support. This is the most rewarding experience anyone can do. Why not try it! Even just for once!

But be warned! It can become addictive.

You can contact us for more information.

Transport

Whilst we rescue animals from the Riverina area they can find homes all over Australia. At times carers voluntarily transport animals to meet with potential new families bot also some fly, some go on pet transport, some are collected by their new family and some need volunteers to help them get to where they are going. If you are travelling by road or air please consider offering a foster a lift. They will fly as extra baggage at the new owners cost in a crate and all you need to do is put it on and collect it off to hand to the eagerly awaiting new owner at the other end!

If you can help please contact us!

Sponsorship

Whilst most animals the come into care requier only the basics of care and vet work some do need extra for example hospitalisation with illness, injury or for pregnant mums or new mums that need veterinary care. Extremely young or malnousirshed puppies and kittens that need formula and vet care and supervision. All costs lots of money and whilst the group and carer try to cover all this help is always appreciated. You can sponsor an animal with either a small donation towards its care or vet work or a regular payment.

You can contact out treasurer to find out how.

Bric a brac

Maybe it is time to clean out the linen cupboard, replace the lumpy pillow and worn doonas. What ever it may be the dogs think it is just great to have a pillow so if you are thinking of throwing things out we take clean old stuff  for our carers to give to the fosters to make their stay as comfortable as possible.

Even if your Bric a Brac is not animal related it might still help, for example if its something new or something youve made (scarves, coat hangers, blankets, toys) these can all be used for prizes for our raffles and fundraisers, another good example of something that is over looked is old craft stuff like wool, yarn and scraps of material, This is why we have our Art & Craft drive, some of of volunteers are collecting things like this and making all our foster babies little blankies pillows bed and coats for the oncoming winter months to make their stay at RADAR as warm and comfy as possible .

Or maybe you too would like to help with our craft work, please not puppies and kitties are not fussy on the quality of the work or the colour scheme. They just appreciate the comfort.
