More and more recetly we are finding that there are many previously much loved older pets in care. We have a very good rehoming rate because the oldies are so wonderful to live with. Yes they may only be with you for a couple of years but some breeds can live way beyond their expectations. All they ever want is someone who will allow them the dignity to live out their last years in a loving and secure environment, some may need a special diet or medication to help those old and stiff joints but there are many that never loose the spirit of their youth amd need nothing more than a suitable home..

On this page are pets of all types that are aged over 8 years or thereabouts. We try to list accurately their age, potential life ecpectancy based on averages and if they have any special requirements.

Oldies are lovely to live with, they don't need to go through the puppy stage and are more content to not have rigorous excersise.
