RADAR members are a group of people from many walks of life that come together to help companion animals in need. Started two years ago with only a couple of carers as a spin off from another Sydney based group it has grown into a group that has carers all over the Riverina Area and interstate. Many have been involved with animals for many years and have a wealth of knowledge and experience behind them.
RADAR's mission is to rescue rehomable animals from pounds or other situations where they are at risk of euthansia, have them fully assessed, vet checked and prepared to go into homes as companions. RADAR also is committed to educate the general public about responsible pet ownership.
RADAR is a group of independent carers that mostly fund their own rescue efforts. This includes all vet work. That adoption fee sometimes covers this and at others doesn't. Sometimes some animals may need extra care and/or veterinary procedures. RADAR needs the help of their hard working volunteers that help fundraise to assist in the ongoing costs of caring for the rescued animals. If you would like to help out you can contact the group and find more on the How You Can Help page.
